GROUP THERAPY
Working in groups is a great way to improve wellbeing, learning together and from each other. Due to overwhelmingly positive patient feedback, we have expanded our group program. Each group lasts one hour. Most of our groups are closed, which means everyone starts the group together and they run for a certain length of time.
All groups have a limited number of spots available. Group topics and times are subject to change based on patient interest and the needs of our community. Please contact our office if you have any suggestions for future group topics or would like to join a current group.
FINDING FREEDOM: SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

This psycho-educational group provides individuals with validation, connection, healing and hope in a safe environment. Sexual trauma often leaves us with overwhelming emotions or feelings of numbness and loss. Through this group, participants will navigate ways to find empowerment and peace. **Given the sensitive nature of this group, all members must be screened for appropriateness to be in group by group leader prior to first session.

DIALECTIC BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (DBT)

Participants learn skills to manage intense emotions effectively. The group setting offers support, guidance, and practical strategies for coping with distress. Members engage in exercises to enhance mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Through DBT, members cultivate self-awareness, improve relationships, and develop healthier ways of dealing with challenging situations. The group dynamic promotes growth, empowerment, and encourages connection among individuals.

WIDOW CONNECTION GROUP

Individuals meet to share their emotional journey after divorce or the ending of a significant relationship. The group offers a safe environment to express feelings of loss, sadness, and uncertainty. Participants often find comfort in knowing they are not alone in these situations. Members gain insight into coping mechanisms and strategies for moving forward. The supportive atmosphere fosters healing and personal growth as individuals navigate the complexities of separation. Together, they build resilience and find strength in solidarity, creating a sense of community and understanding.
